ASK FOR UNION RECOGNITION
New Orleans (ILNS).-Fifty garbage men have secured an A. F. of L. charter and are attempting to persuade the city to recognize their union. The city refuses and it is said that a strike is imminent. There are 1,000 garbage men in the city and many have signified their intention of joining.
The men will demand a closed shop, better pay and shorter hours.
