The Wyoming Celebration.
The Wilkesbarre Gazette states that Mrs. Snowden, the mother of J. Ross Snowden, Esq., State Treasurer of Pennsylvania, was present at the celebration on the 3d. To her it must have been a peculiarly touching scene,—She was in the fort at the time of the massacre, and near seventy years after was at the monument reared in memory of those who fell, and on the ground where they fell, mingling with 4000 fellow beings in commemorating their services and death, and with the multitude listening to her son as he recounted the horrors of the day of the massacre.
