Official letter of the 16th says:
Nothing of importance to note since last report. The lime in the shaft is daily growing harder, and the vein in the winze is also very hard, making progress in both places very slow.
Are preparing to move the whim and will have it in place by the time the vein is reached, which I think will be in a very short time—judging from appearance in the shaft.
