NEW YORK, Sept. 5: Aerial postal
service between New York and Chicago was inaugurated this morning.
Max Miller in a large aeroplane carrying a sack of mail, left Belmont Park
at 7:09 o'clock
In order to carry out the program
of making the flight within approximately ten hours, Miller planned to
speed at more than 100 miles an
hour. Stops will be made at Lockhaven,
Pa., Cleveland and Bryan,
Ohio.
On Saturday a return flight
will be made if weather conditions
permit.

Miller, pilot of the first airplane carrying mail from New York to Chicago
landed on the golf links of the Clinton
County Club, two miles from here at
10:55 o'clock this morning, after a
successful flight from New York
city. He remained less than half an
hour and then resumed his flight to
Cleveland, the next scheduled stop.
