Literary--A lady from the west has been several weeks in this city, who is the author of the following works, which she purposes to publish; "The Tennesseean": Letters from the west and. "Sketches by a Traveller". From the documents she exhibits, shewing the extent of her travels, the information she has collected, and the work she has accomplished, it is evident she is entitled to the patronage of the public. She is the widow of a highly respected officer of the revolution, who fought at Eutaw Springs. She brings with her letters of recommendations from many of the most distinguished men in our country. A series of misfortunes have induced her to adopt her present course, and it is hoped the public will give her that support which her efforts deserve.
