HARRISBURG, September 1.-
The negro who outraged a girl five years old near Canton, Pa. last week, and then cut her throat was being carried to the Towanda jail, when he was taken from the wagon by masked men and riddled with bullets. He was an active member of a Sunday School. and quite a favorite with the children.
