Full Text

We carry today an article from Mr. Francisco Brignoni. Mr. Brignoni feels that janitors should be employed to sweep the school and is protesting against using his children for that purpose.

For the past four years the undersigned has complained regarding the practice of children sweeping the school. From information received from time to time (whenever I found it necessary to make complaint) I was, and am still informed by the Director that the children are obliged to perform this duty. Due to the fact that I am a tax payer of this municipality, and as such I am due certain state rights and as I know that this practice of children sweeping the floors of any public school is injurious to their health, I hereby briefly address this appeal to the Governor of the Virgin Islands, U. S. A. with a hope that the practice should cease immediately. Trusting to be favored with the desired action on your part, thus putting an end to the matter.

Respectfully,
FRANCISCO BRIGNONI
