Full Text

Party Opinion of Hayes.

St. Louis Republican: The democrats are far better satisfied with Mr. Hayes than the republicans are, and they have no desire to see him dispossessed, even to make room for Mr. Tilden. When, therefore, the republican committee tell the country that the house of representatives "intend, after having suborned evidence to bring in a verdict that Hayes is a usurper, and that he shall not remain in office," they transcend the limits even of party license, and make themselves defamers of one branch of the national legislature.
