The Pure Food Law.
In our last issue we noted the action of the Federal Government in reference to the condemnation and seizure of large quantities of ice cream cones, under the Federal Pure Food Law. Following upon this action the state has taken a similar stand. Dr. Marshall L. Price, Secretary of the State Board of Health, has procured some of these cones which are so widely sold, for the purpose of analysis, to determine whether or not the Pure Food Law of the State is being observed. Dr. Price says that the action of the State in this matter will be largely governed by the action of the Federal Government, which now holds a similar question under advisement. The decision will not be rendered for at least two weeks.
