Little Rock, April 12.—We learn, by a gentleman from Batesville, that a duel was fought, at or near that place, a few days since, between two Colored Gentlemen, one belonging to Col. of Crawford county, and the other to a gentleman of Batesville, in which the former was severely, though not dangerously wounded. We forbear to mention the names of the combatants, as we understand the further effusion of blood has been happily stayed by the timely mandate of their respective masters, and that a reconciliation was likely to take place between the parties, through the mediation of their mutual friends.

This affair, we understand, originated in consequence of a rivalship between the parties, in which one of the fair sex was concerned. Gazette.
