THE CALL OF THE WILD.
(Fort Worth Record)
Spring fever gets a fellow so!
Just every bird yells out "Hello!"
Just every bird seems coaxing one to where it wimples in the sun!
And every tree on every hill just beckons till one can't keep still.
And cattle low, and bees ba-zoom, and roses fling their sweet perfume.
And blossoms nod up to the sun out where the grassy billows roll.
And purple thistles have grown tall, and morning glories top the wall.
And trumpet blooms light up the trees, and daisies cling about your knees.
And everything joins in the chorus: "Say, It's Spring!"
And you get wild to up and go, away out where the cattle low,
Out by a stream at break of morn, out where fish tales are being born.
