Allies Encamped in a Morass
Advices from Buenos Ayres from the seat of war in Paraguay are to the 24th of July. The situation is one of masterly inactivity.
The Allies are still encamped in a deep morass, in convenient reach of the Paraguayan guns, which play upon them at pleasure. The camp cannot be moved until more horses are obtained, and an order has been issued to seize seven thousand, among those owned by the citizens. The Paraguayans, in the meantime, had placed more guns in position to play upon the Allied camp.
