The most genuine wit and wag we know of is "Brick" Pomeroy, of the La Crosse (Wis.) Democrat. Our readers will remember that he is the author of "Hillflicker Snicksnacker; or, who's pin here since I's pin gone?" which we venture to say was published in more papers than any article ever written. His last effort, except his Amendment to the Constitution, is the "Confession and Death of an Army Chaplain," which we propose to give in our next issue.
