I free man, so I think t'other day I hab little celebration ob de fourt ob July myself, on ax two, tree frens or so, or kum help me take good dinner dat day, kumpany kum I take um cheer myself, un be President, gib um little oration, but kase I no write my speach de best part loss--However I commence by tellin um ob de great blessin ob Liberty, how tankful we ought all to be for hab um, un klose um wid berry good prayer for de white gemmen dat make so much talk, and rite so much for help de poor children ob Airika--I speak ob old massa King him good ole 76 gemman, but less no like him plan for liberate de poor slaves in dis kountry. White foax wont work, him starve first, here in de South--un if Uncle Sam sell de public land dis away for buy de niggurs, so sure we born, de white man dis away ketch de nigger some how or nudder for work de cotton un korn. Arter dat we take scas--Eat berry hearty, drink de toast I send you, un sing de songs.
