Winthrop, Me., May 26.-Considerable excitement has been caused at Monmouth by the finding on the door of a young married woman a warning threatening her with tar and feathers and a ride on a rail if she did not leave town. The motive for the warning is unknown.

The matter has been placed in the hands of an attorney.
