(By United Press Leased Wire.)
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 5.--The request that he dry the supper dishes brought a quarrel which led Harry H. Rouse, 35, secretary of the Los Angeles Abstract & Trust company, to attempt to kill his wife and then end his own life.
The shooting occurred but a few feet from where the couple's four-year-old son was playing on the floor. The Rouses had just finished supper. Rouse drew a revolver and fired pointblank at her. The bullet went wild and lodged in the kitchen wall. Placing the barrel of the gun to his heart, Rouse pulled the trigger.
