Girl's Strange Death.
Found Dead in a Cave Stream--Was It Suicide?

Marion, Ky., Oct. 20.-"Can you love me after what I am about to do? I must leave home never to return. Love me always, mother. Forgive me, father.

"Your loving, but broken-hearted daughter. Good by. Minnie."

Miss Minnie Bennett, the belle of Livingston county, left this note in her room Tuesday night, and early this morning her body was found in a stream flowing through a cave that was famous as a trysting place for lovers.

Tied to her body was a stone too heavy for a woman to lift, and over the dead girl's mouth was twisted a veil. The print of a man's shoe at the mouth of the cave completed the circumstantial evidence of a murder.

Miss Bennett was twenty-six years old, a striking brunette, who had rather reign as a belle than marry.

The family is wealthy. Nothing has developed to explain the mystery. An autopsy will be held.
