To all Nations.
WHEREAS ye are contending for
liberty and justice, liberate the Jews
and restore them their lands.
They were subdued without right,
salvation is of them, and by benevo-
lence in their fathers-- we obtained it.
By the authority of eternal reason you
are commanded to remit them from
their bondage, and do them justice :
otherwise your struggles about liberty
and justice will be as devouring fire.
Union in the principles of universal
justice is solicited, a complete method
to take the longitude by observation
investigated, and union in the princi-
ples aforesaid will lay a foundation to
treat with the nations about it.
