Among the geniuses this country has produced, few stand higher in the mechanical line than a Mr. PERKINS of Newbury-Port; who has nearly completed his engines for cutting nails. This ingenious piece of Machinery, it is said, will enable a boy to cut 3000 nails in a day, and the heading, which is in general a tedious operation, can be performed by a lad of seven years, at the rate of one hundred thousand per day.
